Its been a busy few weeks, and I’ve been trying out a lot of new things. I found some dining experiences actually worth leaving the house for, and places I would genuinely recommend trying this month.
Here are some of my latest faves that I recommend trying out this January:
Origami… sushi that actually impressed me

It really takes a lot to impress me when it comes to sushi in Dubai because they all feel so basic, so I wasn’t expecting much more than cute Instagrammy sushi that didn’t taste nice.. however, Origami is a whole different story. The quality, the balance, and the execution were all spot on, and it was one of those meals where you immediately think, okay, this is very good. Seriously – hats off to the chef, because this is a place I would happily go back to again – and recommend a million times over.
IZIL and my very real obsession

I have been completely obsessed with IZIL lately. I shopped almost everything (literally dozens) from their skincare and body range during the sale, and I am honestly so in love with all of it.
The products feel rich and nourishing with REAL ingredients, and there’s something about them that feels very grounded and intentional. You can really feel the Moroccan beauty influence behind the brand, but everything still works perfectly in a modern routine. I haven’t tried the hair range yet, but skincare and body-wise, I’m fully committed.
Le Guepard in Al Quoz, for lunch and hosting events

Le Guepard is a completely different experience and one I really like for lunch. Its also an incredible spot if you want to host an event – they are SO creative and can literally create anything that you want in their incredible space in Al Qouz.
For lunch, its quirky and cool and a great option if you’re bored of your usual lunch spots and want to switch things up a bit. Food is ace too!
Bab Al Shams for breakfast

For slower mornings, breakfast at Bab Al Shams is a really nice option. We love taking a drive or bike ride there and enjoying breakfast for a couple of hours during the weekend. If we’re going with the kids in tow, they love playing in the grass area in between bites.
Pepe at Address Beach Resort

Dinner at Pepe is another one to keep in mind this January. They are brand new – just opened a couple of months ago and the Italian food is genuinely good, but what surprised me most is how family-friendly the space is without feeling chaotic. It’s much bigger than you expect, with thoughtful touches for kids, including a movie area and games, which means parents can actually enjoy their meal. The views are a biiig bonus. Gorgeous.
Brasserie Boulud at Sofitel The Obelisk

For a classic night out that always delivers, Brasserie Boulud is a safe bet. We went during the holidays and it was a lovely French twist to a traditional holiday dinner.
The food is elevated but also comforting, and beautifully done, and it works well for evenings where you want something elegant.
Sexy Fish for business lunch

The business lunch at Sexy Fish remains one of my faves. I’ve been there a few times now and it never misses.
Whether you’re sitting indoors or outdoors, the views are gorgeous and the food is consistently excellent. It always feels indulgent in the right way (but also not too heavy) and works perfectly for a polished midday plan. The decor is someeething else. P.S. Don’t forget to visit the bathroom when you go (I know that sounds weird/gross, but trust me).
Supergoop! Glow, which I didn’t expect to love this much
I was not expecting to like Supergoop! Glow as much as I do, but I use it almost every non-makeup day now.
It gives your skin a healthy, slightly polished look that almost feels like you’ve put on a light foundation, even though you haven’t. It’s glowy without being glittery, and it just makes your skin look better. Perfect for school runs, errands, and low-effort January days.
