About Belle Femme: 

Belle Femme Beauty Salon has several different locations spread across Dubai: JBR, Business Bay, Arabian Ranches and Jumeirah. If you’re a busy mom though, it doesn’t matter how many salons there are in town because you barely have time to escape the house to go to them! This is where Belle Femme really stands out from the other salon chains in the country. They have amazing home services, where you can get practically everything done all in the comfort of your own home!

A couple of weeks ago, I booked Belle Femme for a home service. My friends and I wanted to enjoy a spa day in the comfort of our own space, so thats when I came across Belle Femme. All I had to do was tell them what day and time that I needed them, the services that I needed, and how many of us would require each service. With that information, they figured how many people to send in order to be able to do all of the services in my specified time slot.

On the day that the day of our little spa gathering, 5 Belle Femme girls arrived promptly on time, with loaded suitcases full of all that they would need! They set up within minutes and our home for the weekend, the Presidential Suite at Roda Al Murooj, had transformed into a full service salon!

The Services: 

Out of the many services that Belle Femme provides in their home service menu (which is seriously beyond extensive!), we chose to have manicures, pedicures, hair blow dries, eyelash extensions, waxing and threading. Some of us (AKA me) did all of them, while some of us did only a few of them.

Hair Blow Dry: 

All of us had blow dries that day. The Belle Femme hairstylist worked very quickly and did our hair exactly as we described it (we actually all got wavy curls– basic, I know)! To be honest, I really thought it was just a run-of-the-mill blow dry. I didn’t realize how great it was until a couple of days later, when my hair was STILL in great shape. Not only did I have that experience, but so did my friends. One friend actually travelled a few hours after the treatment to Iraq for work. She dealt with traveling, desert heat and war-zone like conditions and guess what? Her hair was STILL IN TACT! True story. I don’t know if its the hairspray or the technique or some kind of magical combination of the two, but their blow dry’s are worth every dirham!

Manicure/Pedicure:

The mani/pedi suitcase was probably the most filled. The Belle Femme team sends their girls with literally every color under the sun! They even have the special long-lasting Essie polishes (if you come across these anywhere, make sure to get them because they really live up to the definition of ‘long-lasting’). We were so impressed with the selection! The girls did a good job of filing, cuticle-cutting, scrubbing and painting. No complaints, no cuts, nothing.

Eyelash Extensions: 

This is one of those things that I don’t get done too often. I’ve only gotten it once before and it was different from this experience. Im writing this review nearly 3 weeks after the experience and almost half of my lashes are still on! The last time I had lash extensions, they started falling out the next day– and I did them at one of the most reputed salons in Dubai! The ones that Belle Femme has are really good quality, and took less 40 minutes to put on. I chose the super long lashes, because I’m dramatic like that, and my friend chose a more natural-looking set because she didn’t want to ‘look like a princess’ while she was going back and forth to Iraq for work.

Waxing:

I get waxed once a month and just that once-a-month trip is SO hard to plan ahead and coordinate, especially since I have a 6 month old and an almost 3 year old at home. There are so many logistics to plan out– who’s going to watch them? Is my part-time nanny available then? Is the salon in a mall so that I can bring them with me, and the nanny can play with them at the play area while I get waxed? Should I bring them to the mall with me or should I keep them at home? Do I have enough pumped milk for the baby? Will my 3 year old throw a fit if he doesn’t see me there? Seriously, the list goes on and on. But you know what? With the fact that Belle Femme has waxing as a home-service, all of these questions vanish in a second. This is one thing that I would do regularly as a home service and would recommend it to any other mom with little ones.

Threading: 

Okay Belle Femme, you got me. I don’t know how the quality of your services last SO damn long. I usually get my eyebrows threaded once every 3 weeks and by that time, you can totally tell that I need to get it done. Again, all that this Belle Femme beautician used was a piece of thread, to do the same thing that I ALWAYS get done, but its lasting so much longer than usual. Its been 3 weeks, and I definitely don’t need to get threaded right now, and probably won’t for at least another week. This one, I have attribute strictly to skill!

Overall Thoughts: 

The Belle Femme girls come prepared, know exactly what they are doing, are amazing with their time management (they finished half an hour before I needed them to), and the quality of their work and products are top notch!
