Before checking out, we went downstairs to the beautiful Majlis Lobby Lounge of the Rosewood Hotel Abu Dhabi. We were seated in their comfy couch seating, and then given the menu to choose from. The menu is actually very full of all different kinds of food, but we opted to try their classic high tea set menu.

Most of the afternoon teas that I’ve been to are not very kid-friendly, but I was so happy to see that our little Khalifa was so welcome here. There was plenty of space for him to walk around and explore, and best of all: the staff loved playing with him, which really allowed us enjoy our experience even more! They even let him choose from a plethora of candies, macaroons and treats laid out on the display table.

The tea soon came, and it was beautifully presented alongside two 3-tier trays of sandwiches and bite-sized desserts. I ordered a white tea, while my husband went for green tea with ginger. Both were aromatic, light and very refreshing. We really took our time enjoying the delicious spread! It’s a good thing we didn’t have lunch because we were already full, not even half way through the dishes.

I loved everything about this afternoon tea experience and I would definitely come back! The venue is sophisticated and beautiful, the staff were so friendly and helpful, and the tea and food were delicious!
