Hotel Review: Lanson Place Residences– Bukit Ceylon, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Lanson Place

Our week and a half stay at Lanson Place Residences in Kuala Lumpur was absolutely amazing! It’s the perfect place for families since the apartments are huge! They cater to the needs of their guests very well. In UAE we are very blessed with the best of hotels and Lanson Place’s standards were right up there.

The area that the hotel is located in is exactly what we wanted. It’s smack dab in the middle of the city, and a quick few minutes from Malaysia’s most iconic landmarks including: the Twin Towers, KL Tower, Bukit Bintang (a super happening city square), and Jalan Alor (a Chinese/local food street). You could easily walk back and forth from the hotel to Bukit Bintang and Jalan Alor within just a few minutes– so much so, that we made a nightly routine of buying fruits from Jalan Alor and getting foot massages before heading back to the hotel. Although the area surrounding us seemed to never sleep, the hotel is located on a super quiet road with a bunch of other hotels; we never had any outside noise issues.

All of their rooms are apartment-style, so you have the freedom to cook(if you feel a little homesick) and even do your own laundry.  The housekeeping staff even provide laundry detergent. They’re so generous with their amenities, they even restocked toothbrushes for every day that we were there. The kitchen is fully equipped and super modern, and my favorite part is the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf coffee machine, which is also generously restocked every day.

The only con worth noting is that breakfast was really not worth getting up for– the selection is way too limited for a 5-star residence. Other than that, we were very happy with our stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone who asks us where to stay in KL.

The price for a one bedroom style apartment is around 3300 AED. Mind you, we went during the beginning of June and prices do change with seasons. By the way, they have a tourist season called Arab season! I guess Malaysia being a Muslim country and having many attractions to keep you busy makes it easy for people from this part of the world to enjoy vacations without worry there.
